Friday shall see a drastic increase in visits to Amazon due to Black Friday.
Black Friday is a major sales day in America as it takes place the day after Thanksgiving this year and is a holiday weekend. In recent years we have seen this day gaining more importance in the UK, with plenty of media coverage and merchants using the Black Friday message to push discounts and sales price reductions.
While we expect this weekend to be a very busy weekend anyway as we run up to Christmas, we have seen Amazon sending out many communications over the last week, using Black Friday as the lead story on potentials deals and bargains available.
Consequently, if you are a seller on Amazon, you may want to use this to best advantage. For instance, you could run some limited time promotions from 28th to 30th November. The four main categories of promotions to pick from are:
- Free delivery
- % of money off
- Buy One Get One Free
- External Benefits
However, if you don’t sell on Amazon and/or run Amazon Product Ads instead we recommend making sure that you have sufficient budget to see you through this period. Amazon’s promotions should result in a high increase in traffic across their storefront, and merchants should see the benefits of this whichever selling route they use.
