Shopzilla has recently sent through a communication reminding customers that Google are now collecting information from them in respect of product reviews.
This is done through their Shopzilla Insights programme which allows merchants to capture customer’s feedback and build a seller rating on Google to help build trust and convince new potential customers to engage.
Google does not take many suppliers of review data, and this is an advantage that Shopzilla enjoys ahead of its competitors
As we have stated before, Google provides visibility of positive (4/5) review markings once these reach a minimum threshold (believed to be 20). These can be seen within Google Shopping entries and within Google Adwords adverts. Reviews are extremely valuable to merchants and improve the ranking of merchant’s inventory, as well as supporting the credibility of the website.
Definitely an advantage of using Shopzilla, and a service that they provide free as part of a merchant listing, requiring just the installation of some javascript.
