Google recently launched AdSense for Shopping which is a new feature allowing merchants to use Product Listing Adverts across Google’s search partner network.
This option is enabled (or disabled) within the settings of your Shopping campaign(s).
As e-retailers the main benefit of using this advertising tool and posting Product Listing ads across search partner sites, is increasing the reach of your ads and the amount of interest in your products/ website.
We have already assessed the suitability of existing PPC clients whether you would it is advisable to make use of this new feature. For non-clients, in order to opt in or out of your product Listing ads being published on search partner sites please follow the below instructions.
- Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.co.uk.
- Select the campaign that you wish to edit.
- Click the ‘Settings’ tab.
- Next to ‘Networks’, click ‘Edit’ and select or deselect ‘Include search partners’.
- Click ‘Save’.

As a general principal, if your products already achieve a good conversion rate in Google Shopping, we would advise extending the reach into Search Partners. You will be able to see the relative performance of this network inside your Adwords account, and if that doesn’t perform as well then you can elect to disable that as an option.
