This month will see the new Google Advertising Policies come into effect. These changes include:
- fewer and simpler AdWords policies
- further insights into why Google has each policy
- more insight into how a policy can affect your ads
Google has stated that ‘almost all advertisers who comply with our current policies will also comply with the new policies.’ We do however recommend you visit Googles Policy Centre to make sure your ads meet the new requirements to avoid any problems arising.
For the most part this will not affect the majority of merchants. However if you selling certain types of products (vitamins, supplements, adult goods as examples) or have issues around use of branded or trademarked products, we would recommended familiarising yourself with Google’s revisions.
